Holistic Massage

Holistic massage is all about tailoring the right treatment for the client at the time of the massage. There is no set routine, no same treatment, just careful attention.

We all have a uniquely different approach to life and its highs and lows. Our bodies hold tension differently too, affected by our posture, our emtions, injuries and habits.

Fundamentally the approach with holistic massage is oil based Swedish massage but you can expect an array of additional techniques where appropriate (stretching, deep tissue massage, myofacial release, joint mobilisation, breath work, lymphatic drainage amongst others).

The session starts with a conversation about you, your medical history and your needs. The session will end with suggestions for aftercare and a long glass of water.

"Initially I booked an appointment as I had arthritis in my wrists and hands and also a lot of tension in my neck and back. The first massage on my back was quite intense but afterwards I felt great, very relaxed and quite euphoric. The next day I definitely felt the benefits. It was the same with my wrist and hands in fact I booked a whole series of massages and found the results excellent and accumulative and the stiffness in my hands greatly improved."
